Skills groups are Tuesdays from 6:00 p.m. to 7:15 p.m.

                      Group is open and youth can join at any time.

       Parent group is 1st Tuesday of the month, following teen group.

       Dialectical Behavioral Therapy

Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) is a life skills based method, proven for the treatment of anxiety, depression, mood disorders and patterns of unhealthy coping. 

DBT teaches skills:

*How to live in the moment using Mindfulness

*How to cope with stress using Distress Tolerance

*Regulating Emotions for better responses

*Improving relationships using Interpersonal Effectiveness

This group is for 13 to 17 year old adolescents who have completed an IOP program and need additional support using their skills, adolescents stepping down from an inpatient hospitalization, or any adolescent needing more tools to manage their symptoms and behaviors.  In addition, a monthly parenting group for additional education, support, and learning about DBT is provided.
