Springing Forward with Hope: 8 Simple Acts

Spring gives us a new sense of hope. It’s a time to think about renewing, achieving, and growing. Just as the flowers bloom, we may want to experience this type of change within ourselves. The season of spring is a time to look at new beginnings and fresh starts.

Spring begs us to look at clearing out the old and making room for the new. We may decide to clear out a closet and get rid of some items that we no longer need. We may head outside to clear out the leaves and debris that have gathered throughout winter and prepare our gardens for spring planting. When looking at old “stuff” in our homes and clearing it out, we can also reflect upon old habits and behaviors that need released. With that release, we can add thoughtfully add actions that help us to connect with our inner selves and sew the seeds of hope.

What thoughtful acts can you add? Try:

  • taking a walk
  • getting out in nature
  • spring cleaning
  • making time for family and friends
  • trying something new
  • meditating
  • journaling
  • quiet reflection

Each of these acts can help us to turn inward and reap the benefits of the season. As the seeds that we have planted start to grow and bloom, we can embrace this new energy of change, excitement, and growth.
